I was tempted. I went to the one in Cannock Chase, and absolutely loved the 40cm Zesty 514L. Unfortunately, it's a wee bit expensive, so I was hoping to try a 42cm Zesty 314 (standard bloke's version) to see if I got on with that. Unfortunately, they've only got it in 46cm to demo. :(

Not sure where else I can demo Lapierres, so it looks like that idea's out of the window. So hacked off that they only do a women's Zesty in the 514, and not the 314. :(

  • I'll be there, hopefully!

I thought it was an Afan, and not GC, Demodays shows it being held at the Afan Centre from the postcode on the website:
    SA13 3HG = http://maps.google.co.uk/?q=SA13+3HG

Not a problem just another few miles up the road.

It's in GC - the Demo Day site is wrong - we're getting it changed.

GC is a much nicer place to start a ride. However there are only about 30 car-parking spaces at the centre itself. It's an 8:30am job on a summers day if you want a space. A demo day is going to be mental.

But of course, this is the bike radar Demo day, organised by the same people who ran a demo route up a nature walk at Cannock.

Pat Adams does it better, by miles.

Just wanted to thank everyone for such a great day, the Welsh weather was out in force; strong winds, heavy rain and hail, but well organised and fantastic trails.

Oly problem now is what to sell to to be able to afford the awesome Santa Cruz Nomad I rode on; the missus, my baby daughter, my house? who knows! lol

I usually ride a 1999 Gt I-drive and was blown awa\y at how light and nimble the Nomad was even though it is more "freeride/AM" type bike with Lyrik 2 step air's on the front. And I was amazed at just how quickly it went up the mountain and not sure wether i've caught up with the bike yet still on the superb downs!

Cracking day, thanks to all who organised it!!
