Burma Road, Cairngorms, anyone done it?

been reading up on this route on various sites, and ive read its a bitch, terms like "think of Hannibal and elephants", would be good if anyone else has been up on it to get an idea whats ggoing on with it.

    A hard 4 mile climb from Aviemore (Altn na criche centre to be precise) , then enjoy the view round to Dalnahatnich by Carrbridge! go for it!

    How much of a climb is the Burma rd, i did it a few times about ten years ago and other than the fact that is was an ace loop back via Carbridge, i can't remember much about it.
