Follow the dog
Looking on the map last time I visited Cannock chase I noticed that if you crossed the road at section 13 (the chainslapper descent) the route took an extra loop marked blue. Is this right? Anyone done it?

I rode cannock a few weeks ago in all of that snow! if you mean crossing the railway and doing a quite technical bit called the monkey then yes, I have done it. good isnt it?

it adds a good hour of easy forest paths, and even kind of a hard surface cycle lane, well marked, to your route. very pleasant mostly, but quite a long climb towards the end. Eventually loops back towards FTD.
nice when the heather is flowering (must be this time of year)
Are they blue signs? Thought they were green??0 -
Thanks Wittetulp, much appreciated. You might be right about the colour, for some reason I had it in my head they were blue. Once again, thanks.Pitch Pro - http://heathy.pinkbike.com/album/My-Bike

Aye, that sounds like the green loop - think it's about 20 miles in total, or you can split it up into three distinct loops.0
