Stripped Threads, Disc Torx Bolts - Mavic Cross Ride

I know, I know I'm a total numpty!

After buckling my wheel got a set of Mavic Cross Ride Disc. While fiiting the disc rotar, through over-tightening (and inexperience) I managed to strip 2 threads. Someone told me to do them really tight, but after checking the manual after find it's only 5nm, so not that tight.

Not sure what to do?? Wasn't using lock-tite, would that help or have helped. Is there any way to salavge this wheel? Could I araldite the bolts? Or could I create a new thread somehow?

Any help greatly appreciated?

    sorry what have you stripped?

the threads in the hub or the thread on the torx bolts?

hub take it to your LBS and see if there is enough metal to take an Helicoil. if the bolts then replace.

    and dont trust your mate.

    Cheers for the quick reply.

    The threads in the hub.
Whats an LBS? If there's not enough metal is it buggered?

Annoyingly it wasn't a mate, it was at a place near me that reconditions old bikes, and also hires out workstands plus tools. One of the guys was giving me a hand, but obviously didn't know as much as he made out!!

    Local Bike Shop.

but by the sounds of it i may be better finding an engineers work shop.

    and see what they say.

    or new hub time.

Some people will suggest just running 3 bolts (or leave the missing ones out).

    I will not suggest it.

2 which are next to each other. Probably doesn't help.
