Long story short, my Cannondale f6 08 disc got stolen the other day =( /sadpanda
It was mainly used for commuting at the moment, ick @ the bad weather, but hopefully something more adventurous in the summer!.
Anyway, insurance company is giving me £440 in evans vouchers (need to buy a lock for ~£50 out of that) but i'm willing to put a bit more money up if there's something special!
I'd like the same bike again...but alas, out of stock:

Ideally i'd like something similar, especially brake wise (I know i probably don't need them, but I have it in my head that I want hydraulic discs - but am willing to compromise if the other parts are up to scratch).
Anyway, so far In my shortlist, in price ascending order:

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/kon ... e-ec000763
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/mon ... e-ec017395 - maybe, but it's a bit boring and i'm told the parts aren't that great.
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/spe ... e-ec016013 yum.
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/can ... e-ec016563 Obviously I love this.. But it's maybe £30-40 out of my own pocket, which i'd be happy to do if it was Really (really..) worth it.
If anyone has any advice or experience with any of the bikes (or an alternative suggestion!) i'd be very grateful.
Thanks alot, Luke.

Can you get to Evans and see them?
The best value bike there is the Mongoose - has the best forks, hydro brakes and probably the toughest. So much more bike than the Hardrocks.0 -
Mongoose for VFM.
Parts might not be the greatest, but still as good or better than the rest!
The 'Dales only worth more if you really really want one. Spec wise its no better and unfortunately your paying a premium for the name, as with Specialized, Trek, Kona etc.0 -
yup, I can get into Evans to see them, it's a whole 2 mins from work
Whether they have any in store is another matter, but i'll go look this lunchtime.
Thanks guys.0
