Just got a new job that is right next door to a wopping great BMX track, plan to spend a lot of time there getting the old skills and fitness up to speed, also looking to spend more time at places like Chicksands and Esher shore for fun.
Am looking for a bike (hardtail) that will be great for the track along with taking the odd beating at Chicksands or Esher shore. Ideally I would be able to use it for the odd short blast on trails 1-2 hours max, foul weather that sort of thing. Would like to keep it simple possibly single speed. Have a full suspension trail bike to use on the big days, which I don't want to wreck.
Was looking at the Absolute or P2 but wondering what else is out there, want it to be a small enough to have a good go at throwing it around and build up the skills but if possible hit the odd short trail. I am 6'3", budget is pretty flexible
Thoughts / suggestions?
Thanks in advance

The Spesh P-series are great bikes but how about a 24Seven Slacker or an Identiti P66 ? FWIW I'm 6'2" and have a 16" GT Chucker 2.0 that weighs a ton but is a blast to ride.0

Commencal Absolut Chromo looks a stunning bike.... but is more jumpy, a proper play bike.0

Thanks for the more suggestions, the Identiti looks nice!!! Does anyone know a shop near Hertford I could try one out at? Tried my local one but the don't have any in stock.
The charge looks nice aswell. Any more sugestions gratefully recieved. Am worried the jump bikes will just be too small, think the Max max is! As a guage wouldn't want to go any shorter than the long absolut.0 -
