    As in http://www.thebikefactory.co.uk/ ??

I've been into the shop loads of times, "bought" a Pinarello off them once, never used the site though.

The shop has been there for all of my living memory.

I have used them for some bits, but main purchases I have always used Edge cycleworks just up the road. Over time I have bought three bikes & LOTS of kit off them, so that lets you know what I think!

I usually go there for clothes, and Edge Cycleworks for bike bits if I need any while I'm there (any other time I get them from the LBS in Liverpool).

They used to be Davies Bros before that - been around for Donkeys years- a couple of generations at least.

I ordered some new handlebars and bar tape off them on Thu 26th Feb. Got a confirmation mail saying they would be dispatched within 48 hours unless stated otherwise. I rang them up on Wed 4th March, and they were "waiting for the supplier". I don't mind waiting a little longer for things if I've been told that there is going to be a delay but I had no further correspondance other than my confirmation email.

You've found something cheap on their website?

As other's have said, they've been around at least 30 years, have a big shop and run the Specialized shop next door too so they aren't going to run off with your cash. Just don't expect Wiggle / CRC type service though. Might be best to give them a ring if you are ordering stuff and need it in a hurry.

I've never used them before and thought I'd give them a try. I would have just been a little happier if they'd let me know that there was going to be a delay. I'll still use them again if I find something I need on their site.

TBH I'd never use their internet site, it looks really poorly laid out, and the prices don't seem great.

And I'd probably go to the shop and get the item if it was worth getting :?

  • I was talking to someone at Bike Factory over the phone today. I found a big difference between web price and phone price !
