Any of you guys been cycling in the Pyrenees.
An old friend and I realised a childhood dream and did Alp D'Huez and the Col Du Galibier in 2007 for our 42 birthday treat.
We are looking to repeat our homage to the hills by doing 3 rides in the Pyrenees for our 45th birthday treat.
Just wondered if anyone had some advice for training, travel, places to stay and routes to climb?

I have in 2005 and did the Tourmalet, pla de adet etc and it was great. I thought it was harder going than in the Alps. I stayed with a company called sport-adventura and they made it a great holiday. I searched for them but the website is now obsolete. I have heard some good comments about this company though http://www.pyractif.com/.Brian B.0

I've been to both the pyrnees and the alpes, I think that the alpes are better but in the pyrnees if you want somewhere to stay luz St savoir is great, right near luz ardiden.0
