Standard apart from tyres, DMR pedals, and new grips since the picture was taken. Would like some better forks, but cant justify the expense right now

    Cheers

Still got stuff i want change.
As mentioned I want a wheel to match the front
    New seat post.
Possibly a new saddle. Not too sure about the WTB rocket, so I may try something else. May be a Spoon or SDG Bel Air.
And the white grips...Looked good for about 5 minutes, now just look hacky.

Recently added Cube Fritzz lock on grips in black and white, and Cube chainstay protector. No pics yet as bike is in bits at LBS

New BB, cables, brakes bled, and forks sent away to Fisher as they loose pressure

  • Gotta ask how do you find the Cube Acid? I was just about to purchase the Cube LTD Comp 2010.

I have a overall Budget of £750 which I managed to get my LBD to sell me the LTD Comp for, although when I was in the shop yesterday they had an ACID in for £679.99 in the really smart cherry red and white colour. They have the same forks although the LTD Comp is slightly lighter and a little better spec'd according to the guy in the shop (Im just a little concern he may be after me spending more money though!). Just before anyone says it I have tried them both and they both feel great!

I want the bike for general use mainly trails, XC (7 stanes is my local trail centre so I want something that will handle the Red and Black routes).

Any thoughts would be helpful as I want to buy this thing before xmas (when I have some time off!)

    Cheers for your comments 8)

Sodfoster If you can I'd go the for the LTD. wish i'd held off buying the Acid. I was just too impatient. Dont get me wrong I like it, but I've had to change a few bits and pieces to get it how i want. The std forks on the Acid (dart 3's) are pretty awful to be honest, so going for the LTD is worth it just for that. The Recon Air I now have on are sooo much better. As for weight, i guess its around 30lbs mark. May be a tad over.

I guess the riding I do is similar to yours.. The odd trail centre (dalby/Gisburn) and general XC, local or in peaks eg. With the fork upgrade the bike performs admirably, whereas before it was a bit like a pogo-stick

    Hope this helps

  • Yeah think that seals my decision!

Although I think the 2010 Acid and LTD comp have the same fork Rock Shox Dart 3 100mm, PopLoc (are these the same as the 2009 Acid?). The £100 pound seems to give different tyres and different crank to lose some weight on the LTD Comp

  • No that's the model I wanted. Im getting this through the ctw scheme and the shop wont let me pay the extra sadly!
