new rear and front mech

ive damaged my rear derailer (alviro),is it possible to put a deora rear and front mech ,with 8 speed shifters and cog and chain

Indeed it is! Though an Alivio front mech would work fractionally better.

why would alviro work better ,or would you suggest anything else

Is an 8 speed front mech, just a little easier to set up. Makes no difference for the rear!
