what's to do in manchester?

hi guys, i'm in manchester for the night with work and wondered if anyone could suggest any good places to go for a beer. i'm staying on deansgate right by harvey nichols.

    depends on what you like - but on balance I'd go for the northern quarter - try looking for Odd bar, it's right in the middle of the NQ and there are lots of other bars, eateries etc round there

    or you could head down deansgate as there are bars restaurants round there

    cheers dude, we took a wander down deansgate last nigt had a few beers and a meal..we don't have to be in work til midday tomorrow so we're gonna live it up tonight, just on the way out now...i'll let u know what we find...... 8)

    Get into Bar grill on john dalton, Circle bar, Full of off duty lap dancers) and then panaceia if its open..................... im on my way out now !

    cheers guys, we ended up in the odd bar, had wander around the northen quarter. ended up in a small club with a battle of the bands night going on...it was pretty cool. got kicked out of there at about 1.30am, wandered around trying to find our hotel....ended up in china town (our hotel was no where near there!!) got some food and stumbled home..

    cheers for the advice, pity i missed the one about the off duty lap dancers til the next day...Doh!!! :D

    On the plus side, I live at the end of Deansgate & am now looking up 'the one with the lap dancers'...
