I'm in the process of ordering new slicks and decided to take a look at my old slicks on the bike. I noticed (I could be wrong here) that there seemed to be no inner tube (I'm riding Kenda Koncepts at the mo) and just the valve.

I'm looking at ordering Schwalbe Blizzard's. Will these require tubes or can they just be used as the Kenda's?

Thanks in advance.

Why do you think there's no inner tube, have you removed one of the tyres?

If you've got tyres, you need an inner tube.

The valve isn't attached to the rim is it? Slime?

Yep, tube there, valve ripped away from tube. Tyre ok. Just a new tube needed.

There are some clinchers with built in inner tube.

You can get tubeless road tyres. Hutchinson do them.
