Hi

I am running Shimano XT shifters on my bikes and due to a recent brake upgrade i have had to remove the gear index displays.

I have seen Shimano XT covers that stop muc and anything else getting in but i cannot seem to find any...

does anyone know where i can get at least one pair from??

thanks

They come with XT M770 shifters, I have never seen them for sale as a stand alone product.

Mine were on the back the displays, black disk thing.
  • aye, they're normal fastened inside the back of the display mechanism.
  • Yep - they are definitely on the back of the indicators you have taken off (round black discs with Shimano XT branded on them) - I recently took mine off too so I could get more room to space out the cockpit. Once you have taken the discs off the back of the indicators they then screw onto the shifters - leaving them looking smart and nicely branded (Shimano wouldn't let you get away with anything less!). Just hope you kept the indicators when you took them off!
  • unless you've got the older silver shifters, which didn't come with covers.....
