im heading up there next week for a week, gonna do the burma road and a few other trails up by carrbridge, anyone know of anymore XC routes, looking to get in about 50 miles a day to lead up to the doing the WHW in may, need to make sure the legs can hack it.

local knowledge would be sweet, we have use of a car but the girlfriends would be abandoned, so the closer the better.

    I would suggest Glen Einich. It is an out and back type route and has a wilderness feel to it after you leave the trees. Try the following for some info.

    The gates wern't locked when I did it even though my book said they would be but that was about 10 years ago so maybe things have changed. The bike shop can tell you.

    However it may be snowy up there until later in the year. It would be a serious place to stack it.
