i have read the other thread but i have a quick question...
april last year i went to ventoux and it was amazing, the weather perfect. i know i was a bit lucky, but still.
any ideas what the weather is like at the tourmalet in mid-april and if the cols are open? i know nothing really.

The Tourmalet will not be open by the middle of April unless you want to go skiing. It usually opens in May and the d'Aubisque the first week in June.0
