Race tyres

I've just bought a set of Continental 'Attack/Force' tyres and some light weight tubes for racing. Will they be affected if I only use them for races? In other words, will it affect them being put on and taken off the rims all the time?

Tyres should be fine, you might write off the innertubes, probablility indicates you'll pinch the tube at some point, and one patch will write off the weight/smooth rolling advantage...

Do you reckon I should just leave them on once they're on? The 'Attack/Force' seem to have good durability and protection...(from what the sales blurb says anyway).
I'm thinking that might be an option, to save on new inner tubes (pricey) getting pinched and wrecked all the time.

    Thoughts?

I have been using the same rear wheel for road training and turbo training for about 2-3 months.

This involves changing the tyre over at least twice a week - sometimes more often.

I have had the same tubes and tyres throughout and have not pinched or punctured yet.
If you do it carefully and properly, you won't damage anything - but doesn't that go for everything in life?

I've been using Conti GP4000S for a while, and they use the same Black Chilli compound as the Attack/Force combo, and they seem pretty durable. No cuts so far (even after three reliabilities on some dodgy roads).

    I wouldn't bother changing them

Okay, seems like they'll be going on and staying on! Thanks for the responses.
