Are Zipp 808's worth the money for an amateur cyclist? I currently have Mavic Kysrium ES and wanted a bit more speed. Currently the 808's are available for £1,190 which is a big discount.

  • What level are you intending to ride/race to? Unless you are going to take up road racing or time trialling fairly seriously, I would question why you need to spend so much on wheels. Aero wheels come into their own once you hit 25+ MPH. How long/often do you intend to ride at this speed?

    For TT's they may be worth it. road, probably not. There are cheaper options.
