Chain/Cassette fault

About 3 weeks ago, I had to send my bike into the LBS due to the chain being streatched and the rear casette being too worn. They fitted a new casette and chain and the bike was mutch better.
Over the last week I have noticed that the chain seems to be skipping quite a lot and I also find, often when setting off from lights etc, there is no resistance for half a pedal rev. before the gears seem to catch and I am propelled forward.
Following checking the rear casette it seems to be slightly loose (i.e it moves slightly side to side when I wobble it). Shold this be something the LBS sould lok at again as they have not fixed/fitted it properly 1st or could it be a diff issue? The back wheel is only 4 months (900 miles) old.
Thanks
Ben

sounds like the cassette lock ring has come lose.
Or worse the free hub is dead."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

More like the freehub i'd say, you need a trip back to the bike shopHe is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0
