Did you get a french licence? I was told you needed to join the local club, have a medical and get a french licence. If you've managed to do it using BC i'd like to know how you did it.

Sorry davep123, I can't help you there since I'm in a French club. I've never seen a non French licence holder in an Ufolep race but you do get British teams riding FFC races but in that case I think you'd need an invite from a club or the race organiser.

You can do FFC races with a BC licence, you should contact BC and they will send you a letter that accompanies your licence, explaining you're OK to race.

You can often turn up on the day and enter but use the internet and try to have a word with the organiser before. They will be pleased to have foreign entrants. The same goes if you want to race in Belgium too.

Frankly the admin is the easy bit, racing in France and Belgium is very hard.

Thanks toolonglegs, that's a great site. I've been riding these events for a couple of years but I've never found such a good website, with maps too!

Did a few races about 10 years ago in Brittany, very hard races as the racing standard is very high over there.

To get a ride was fairly easy, most of the criteriums are enter on the line races as in the uK, only difference is you need to get a letter saying its ok sent over to the FFC, and a copy for yourself.

Other than that they will think your totally dagenham east (4 stops short of barking) for entering!!!

Have fun and take a few primes on the way!
