Where can I get bike insurance? I've been knocked off a few times now and am fed up with chasing the other guys insurance company and having to go through the small claims courts.
Thanks in advance for any help

Other options are LCC if you're in London http://www.lcc.org.uk
British Cycling http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/si ... e/home.asp
LCC pays for itself as there's a 10% discount in most bike shopsBike1

Most house contents policy only provide limited loss cover (typically £500), but won't help if you're in an accident.Bike1

Actually, yes. I've just (today) renewed my house insurance (though it is buildings and contents, which may make a difference) and asked about this. They put me on hold to check and came back saying that the legal cover would cover the legal side (well, d'oh!) of any accident and the public liability (something like £1million) would cover any damage to the other party if I were found at fault.
Still considering joining the CTC anyway...

Do these insurance companies cover theft away from the home? Also if I was in an accident, would it cover my bike?
Thanks,0 -
Has any one got the answer to my question...:oops:0

Another source of legal insurance (relates to OP's question) is the RAC. I have the full works for £6 per month (Via ASDA's web site, about half the price of buying direct from RAC) and it includes legal insurance, it says it will fund claims against third parties in the event of any accident, be that in my car, as a passenger in someone else's, on a bike, even as a pedestrian. I am nit suggesting getting RAC for this purpose alone, but you may often find you have insurance for such things already wrapped up in house insurance, car insurance (which I also have legal cover for) or breakdown cover, or even some credit cards or bank accounts. Of course one needs to read the small print carefully to make sure what is or isn't included.0
