Trails within 1.5 hr of Colchester

Hi!
I'm heading down to my mmates in Colchester and wanna take my bike. Does anyone know of any decent single track with features within 1.5hrs?
If anyone needs any advice on South Scotland and Cumbria in exchange give me a shout.

    erm thetford forest is mainly all singletrack. There is some really good stuff off of the waymarked routes in brandon country park but its a case of going round and finding it yourself
    Tunstall forest has lots of good stuff but none waymarked so it quite easy to get lost.
