SEXY
looks evan better with matching wheels0 -
Im jealous it looks amazing. could do with a bit more white around the saddle though. maybe a seat clamp or a bit of white on the actual saddle, but thats just me trying to find a fault with it
brave GF for allowing her pic up on this site, you know what us guys are like
"Its all fun and games till someone gets hurt, then its hilarious"

aye brave man putting your gf up on here
Get an sdg ifly saddle in white, like mine 8)
Does like rather nice though dude, do like the spank rims,
i need something stronger as i've flat spotted mine :shock:0 -
Cheers guys, I'm well pleased with it! the gearing is perfect for me, just right.
Aye, i was a bit annoyed that the seat wasn't as white as I thought it'd be. But it'll do for now
I'm surprised the GF isn't kicking the bike to bits with al the crap she's had to put up with
Only thing is the rear disk needs checking for tightness as the cassette socket I have wasn't quite deep enough to tighten it properly. Gonna take it down the LBS either tomorrow or wednesday to get it sorted0 -
Looks good, how's it ride?...........
bike or GF, either would do!
Only teasing pal. I quite fancy speccing and building my own bike, but I'm too impatient and couldn't wait, so I'd end up skint!
Does look good though!0 -

Yea i've spent way too much money on it really. But i've only gone over budget by £100 'cus i've had some pretty amazing deals. (mainly @ CRC btw!).0 -
Very nice!
Bike looks good too ;-)
Bit of triple trianglery going onm then, good to see that hehe0 -
I like, you have done well (I am talking about the bike)It's not a ornament, so ride It0
-
Cheers :P
Just want to ride it properly now. Quick trip to LBS and its ready, so maybe the weekend or more likely next weekend it'll be getting muddy0 -
Magnificent bike.
But wait a minute, it has no gears. Did you wanted that way?
And I agree about the saddle area, no white there. But that can be sorted cheaply.
Nice girlfriend too.0 -
Aye, singlespeed all the way
i love it, its just so much simpler! If I do start to get annoyed tho, I suppose a E13 Bash/chain guide, saint shifters and derailleur would go down well.
But I love it how it is......smoooooothh0 -
has she had a shot?0

Not too shabby."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

SS not my thing but that is a nice looking bike, all the better for being built by the rider. Good job (GF too
)
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
Ben's GF (Kath) says - I've been replaced!!
Cheers again guys, just need to get a few little tweeks sorted and i'll be off
I've only ever ridden SS once before, but it was a different ratio (very low geared).
I'm really liking the idea of not having gears, only problem I can see will be balancing between getting up hill/spinning out on down's.
either way its an awesome ride. the cranks are soooooo smooth. just need to get the brakes bedded in so I can see what their full power is.
Forks are soooo plush too. I was expecting them to be quite harsh on smaller stuff but after quick ride they completely exceed my expectations.
also, the bars are uber wide compared to what i've normally ridden. It'll take a bit of getting used to, but I like it... feel way more planted and secure.
Just been talking to my bro, and i'm trying to get him to come do Snowdon with me in a few weeks to break the bike in0 -
Very sexy rig fella!!!
Nice Build - loving the Spank kit also (just ordered myself a set of Spike 777 wide bars!)
Worth the wait - enjoy it!0 -
good looking shit dude

she's actually very good friends with a guy that organises the Welsh Downhill Mountain Bike Association (WDMBA) so you never know0 -
actually my previous comment was stupid, DHL are based within a few hundred yards of donnington park anyway. I also have to say I'm tempted to go SS in the winter to just save all the hassle although I dunno if i'll get on with it or not, first things first, get myself the bike which should hopefully be next week now. about timeStart Weight 18st 13lbs March 2009

Good work Ben. The bike looks great, I like the white/black contrast, hope you enjoy miles of riding on it.
Your GF looks great as well mate, make sure you make it up to her now that your bike if finished, you need to make sure you look after a GF as mint as she looks!!!!0 -
bigbenj_08 Yeah I've got a white Marin at the mo, but it's on eBay, along with my half finished wolf ridge project bike. I'm keepin the new bike under wraps until it's in my posession. Best of all, my other half approves of it aswell0
