Cyclocross Events

I'm considering trying out Cyclocross, nothing too serious, just an occasional thrash in the dirt. Does anyone know where I can find out about open events, etc , I don't really want to join a league, just pay as I go.....its probably wrong time of year now, but I would like to find out when and where events are later in the year if its now end of season.

    The words 'Cyclocross' and 'nothing too serious' are rarely used in the same sentence. Be prepared for a mullering at even the most 'friendly' event.

    Yeah, I take your point about it being tough, just wanted to give it a go and see if its right for me without having to join a club, enter a league, etc.
