Tyre width
I have 25s in my DT Swiss 1.1 RRs but feel these too wide, where can I find out what is the narrowest, according to Sheldon[RIP] I should not even have 25s which I find hard to believe

Sheldon is pretty useful, but I find that a lot of his stuff is not always entirely based on reality. Why do you 'feel' 25s are too wide..?0

My commute is now on a fixed with 23" tyres, so 25" just feels too wide.Fixed, commute: Langster 08, FCN6

I think 25mm is good for winter training & commuting. 23mm otherwise.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

Yeah I'd not go any less than 23mm even on a racing bike.
I too have 25mms on my winter bike - i like them.0 -
Cheers, 23mm it shall be as I am comfortable that on the commuter and wanted the same on the road - to many changes going from fixed to geared as it is (and no doubt tyre width is one of the lesser ones.
I fully expected the rims to take a 23mm tyre then found the chart on Sheldon's site which threw me somewhat.
Will also have the added advantage of not changing the cycle computer between bikes - yay!Fixed, commute: Langster 08, FCN6
