Cheap Italian chain hotels

Hi,

Does anyone know of a chain of cheap hotels throughout Italy similar to the Formule 1 hotels in France? Planning a route from Le Havre to southern Italy.

Not that cheap but they will be cyclist friendly. Some will be in mountain regions, keeps tourists coming out of the ski season, but either Bikeradar or Roadcc go to one on the Adriatic coast every year.

You could also look at airbnb; I've found them to be great value compared to normal hotels, and you can stay in some really interesting buildings in great locations.
