the cork bar tape on my bike has gone a bit and tends to feel a little slippy when my hands sweat? what are peoples preferences on bar tape? whats a good replacement?

Hi There i have just replaced some bar tape for the first time i used the Fizik just under £10 seemed easy enough to fit and it feels nice and padded and a nice grip very happy with it.My bike

Hmm.....Fizik is not padded at all, if you want comfort I'd avoid Fizik, and I'd only go with Fizik if I wanted White tape. If you plan using black tape I'd recommend the Easton or Deda tape - it's comfier, cheaper and wraps better than Fizik tape.0 -
I've just replace mine with specialized phat wrap after fitting a flight deck. It has gel inserts under the tape as well that come with the tape. Very comfortable. It is available in 2 thicknesses, 2.5mm and 4.5mm.0

Depends which one, my LBS has 3 different Fizik tapes.
I've just done mine in Bontrager seems pretty good for the money.0 -

+1 For specialized Roubaix tape.
I love the texture and its nice n spongy but a bit of a pain to keep clean tho. I have it in white colour, seems to attract the grime and I'm always having to scrub it clean.0 -
I use Ritchey cork bar tape which is well padded and very grippy.
