Hey,

Just wondering, you don't need post how much you paid just vote and be honest. This is for the bike you use most often and how much you paid, not the RRP

A different slant maybe? Alot of people when totalling up there bikes, esp if custiom build, use RRPs for all the parts. Off the shlf bike with the same parts would be much cheaper.

Aye, although i'm retty pleased with the price of my build :) just got al my parts bought before the shimano price hike (got the saint BB/crank/chainring for £140 and its over £200 now ).
not sure i'd get the same sort of spec on a off the shelf bike either for how much i've paid!!

My fsr was 700 quid but the upgrades to the bike (cockpit, tyres, brakes, crankset, forks, saddle and wheels etc. would have added another 900 to 1000 pounds over a year or two (that's scary !) I would have much rather bought the bike with the spec i wanted outright but this was the only way i could get past the other half. It didn't really work though as all my credit cards have now been confiscated ! Talk about credit crunch :-(

My shocker would have cost about £5300 if I paid RRP for all the bits, I actually paid a little over £4k.

I also have a 2006 Spesh Endruo Expert that I think was £2400 rrp back-in-the-day but I paid £2k for it.

    which bike :)

Got £100 of the P7 Pro, but got the single speed for free :)
  • im buying all my bikes for a while this year, because after bicycle manufacturers run out of the kit they bought at 08/07 prices, they have to put up prices of bikes. 08 bikes arent going to be much more expensive, but 09 will see huge prices.
