Horse box required to carry my new bike box...

Just taken delivery of my bike box, the BH roof bike safe box. The rectangular one with the aluminium frame inside it.
As the cardboard box appeared out of the lorry my wife asked "We didn't order a new dining table did we?"
It is effing massive... I giggled like a fool when I took it through the door. Seriously, it's the size of a small horse. Not a shire horse or anything like that - no, just your average sized hunting and eventing hack... About 10 hands high, or whatever it is that horsey people say...
My wife climbed into it and I closed the lid, she wasn't even curled up! (She's not still in there incidentally... the keys were missing, so they're posting them on.) Well anyway, if I get turned away at the airline check in desk I am sure I can use it for people trafficking or something. All I need now is a horse trailer to actually get it there in the first place!

If you are using this for air travel be prepared for serious excess bagage surcharges!0

Actually I am flying to San Francisco in March with Virgin, and they don't charge anything for bikes. Even as an additional piece of luggage... Just have to check it in at the oversize desk.
