Does anyone use a mount like this:

to attach their Tytn II / Vario III to their bike? I always take mine out with me in my jersey pocket so I can use the GPS to guide me home if/when I get lost, but would much rather be able to plan a route and stick to it rather than have to stop to look at the map.

There are two things that would bother me. 1) How securely it fixes the phone to the bike (it's my main mobile and I'm not too handy with super glue). 2) How do you find the battery life with the GPS on constantly?

If all else fails I suppose I'll be forced to by a Garmin and that would be a damn shame 8)

I have the Vodafone version of the Tyton II.

Using Tom Tom, the battery life is sh1t. I think I can get around 2 hrs tops from a full battery.

It's OK to find your way home as your never normally any more than an hour away from somewhere you know, but I would never use it to plan a route etc.
