Racing in Lithuania?
I'm going to Lithuania soon because they have amazing roads/scenery!
Just looking around for some good routes and thought it would be a good idea to find popular routes by looking for where races are held over there. I can't find much though.
Do they have any major races in Lithuania? Cycling is popular over there... They should!
When people go to France, a lot of them seek out the classic T.D.F routes and i'm trying to find the Lithuanian equivalents!
Anyone?

Not too soon I hope - it'll be a bit baltic there at the moment!0 -
One of the Cyclists Touring Club forums at www.ctc.org.uk might be your best bet - I don't know of any big races / classic routes in Lithuania myself.0

I'll be interested in anything you find out. I'm based in Finland and had never really thought of hopping over to the Baltic states for a cycling holiday, but it would be very cheap and easy to do, and it's a lot closer than France or Italy!0

Yes, it's a very nice place for cycling, apparently. I have lots of Lithuanian friends who have told me that cycling is big over there and that the roads are really smooth. The road networks are a lot less dense in the baltic countries too. Everything's really spaced out!
I've just been looking at it on the satellite pictures from Google Maps - there are some long roads which look amazing! :shock:0 -
Vast long beaches in Lithuania, too.0
