Fitting tyres

I have fitted a set of Continental Explorer tyres to my bike,while out on a ride one of my friends riding behind me said my rear wheel had a bad buckle. Took the tyre off the wheel when i got back and it runs true,put the tyre back on spin the wheel and it looks buckled!!. I assume its the tyre but I can't get it on straight any tips!

Sometimes they don't seat properly, especially where the valve is. Fully deflate, then inflate slowly, checking all around that the bead is seated evenly, using your thumbs to push into place.

Also pump it up to the maximum PSI (it says on the sidewall, usually about 65 to 80) then deflate back to the pressure you want. You should hear a popping noise as the higher pressure helps the tyre bead to seat properly.

Just be careful though, because if it really is not seated properly - BOOM! I nearly had a Halfords superstore evacuated when I did that haha!
