last weekend my clean setup of white hudz and white bar tape which had sat in the garage staying clean all winter got completely turned brown during a reliability ride on my first ride on the race bike since october

I mainly cleaned them after brushing but what other ways do people use to fully clean it?

(other than throwing white bar tape in the bin-someone'll probably say thats the best way to solve it)

  • Best of using white fizik tape, as its alot easier to keep clean, i use jif or cif what ever they call it these days, or soapy water, on my fizik tape. Another tip is to just stick your gloves in the washing machine after every ride.
Up hup hup hup.....fricking hate that!

I use 1001 Carpet Cleaner and a small nailbrush. Seems to work OK when the tape gets a bit grubby!

    Gary.
Oh and I feel like I've been raped by an Orangutan  And I've got legs like Girders

I use Bike Spray which is similar to WD40. I've mentioned this a few times over the years but nobody ever believes me. If I could be ar**d I'd take a picture of my 2 year old white cork tape and show you how clean it keeps it.

    GT85 does for me.
  • Any of the above and Muc Off Dirty Wipes.
  • Yes - another for Muc-Off Dirty Work wipes. Gets the white Fizik bar tape sparkling in no time!
