There's oil all over the road at the Junction of Stainer street and St Thomas St in London SE1. I came of my bike and within minutes another cyclist came off..he is now in hospital with a nasty open wound on his chin.
I called the police and whilst on the phone 2 more cylists came off, theres also massive building site next to the spillage and some of the workers came out and put grit on the road after saying the oil spill wasn't their fault...
I have a few cuts and a my legs are bruised plus my gloves and jacket are ripped.
I just hope no other cyclists were injured.

That's absolutely awful Moonio. Sounds like your injuries are fortunately mostly superficial, but the damage to clothing is pretty permanent.
Did yourself or the fuzz get details of the other cyclists involved? If it can be proved who was responsible for the spill, I'd hope you all had a good chance of compensation from them.0 -
Glad your okay, why don't you email CTC or give them a call, just in case there's a chance you could claim for the damages.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
Glad to hear you're OK moonio, worth looking into damages, especially as others went down in the same patch.0

Glad you're ok. Oil is a killer, it's done for me before. It's even worse when mixed with water, awful stuff.

Thanks for the warning. Glad you're OK. I know exactly what it's like to hit something like that at speed, and it hurts.Bike1
