The Koga Miyata Team Edition road bike is described as an “Affordable aluminium road bike”. It costs £1600.
So is bikeradar's road bike pricing scale as follows...
~£7000 - expensive
~£5000 – a bit pricey
~£2500 - normal
~£1600 - affordable
~£1000 - cheap
~£500 - pittance

Surely how "affordable" depends on your expendable income :!:
£7,000 is cheap if you're Richard Branson, not so if you're Frank the tank.
Enthusiasm for this sport/passtime has naff all to do with your income. Someone who only has very limited funds can cycle as enthusiastically as the wealthy, just on a lower budget.Tail end Charlie

It is an enthusiasts site.....
And I am an enthusiast but I feel bike mags have lost sight of value for money when describing bikes/products in their reviews.0 -
Just as top gear stopped reviewing 'normal' cars, credit crunch is here, useless(over-paid) jobs are shrinking..................watch this space :arrow:winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

I suppose, but even though I can't afford a De Rosa/Colnago/Viner/Parlee/BMC/etc I'd much rather read reviews about them than a Tiagra or Sora equipped Specialized.....0
