Old m odel FS AM Bike £1k...thoughts

I am looking for a 2007 or 2008 FS bike (large or x large) circa £1k that has 5 inch travel or so....trail riding at eg Afan
Welcome suggestions on best bang for the £ on type of bike and where to shop for it.

Thoughts that came to mind included a 2007 stumpjumper, a old yeti, giant anthem?, or trek 8....anything else that should be considered

Am interested in bikes that despite being good have depreciated through being a prior year model, and where to find them.....what websites are selling old models still
