Hi all. Excuse my ignorance but...on the right hand side of my suntour forks is obviously the 'lock out' mechanism, but oo the left is a dial with a +/- on it.
No matter how far i turn it in either direction, not a lot really changes! Can anyone give me some advice on it please.I understand that they are not the dearest nor the best forks in the world and i dont expect miracles from them, but it dosnt seem to do much whichever way i turn it.
Thanx in advance.

"preload" and yes it does not do much."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanx...yeah, i dont think its not much point it being on there to be honest!
Anyone think the same?0 -
It makes very small changes to ride height or sag. it doesn't make the fork stiffer or softer.
Do you have a manual?0 -

I have no manuel,as they came on the bike.0

At a festival, many years ago, a friend and myself were on acid. He popped out of our tent to get his shoes which were sitting just outside the door/flap thingy. Fourteen hours later he returned with his shoes in his hand. When I asked him where he'd been he looked at me questioningly and said "Err... I just said, to get my shoes. Do pay attention, old boy."
Nigel, is that you?All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Your friends say 'old boy'? You must be really posh or living in the 1920s.I don't do smileys.

Acid is a strange thing. It's easy to loose a day or two at a festival on acid just looking at an interesting sculpture.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

My Arrowhead has been sitting in the shed for donks now. Cant be bothered with it anymore. Messed up lockring on the cassette which i cant remove, shitty bb, shitty cranks, no inner tube...0 -
