Slipping Seatpost

Hi,
Just been testing out my lovely new P7 on a few local rides and I can't get the seatpost to stop slipping down regardless of how much I tighten the QR. The bike has a 29.6mm seatpost shimmed down to 27.2. I have even tried a spare 27.2 seatpost, but with no joy.
Any ideas before I contact the shop I got it from?

need more pressure.
or you could use some grinding past to give some grip (as a last resort)
Maybe a different seat post clamp?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I actually made a quite decent shim from a Coke tin for one of mine. Lasted years?AT MY AGE, I SHOULD KNOW BETTER !!!0

You can by some stuff from your LBS for this, can't remember what it's called..0

if its an quick release clamp make sure that the side with the bolt running thru is lined up with the split in the seat tube. it needs to be like this for the seat tube to be 'squeezed' around the seat post.
sounds simple but it works. you'd be surprised the amount of folk that have it the wrong way round - myself included for a long time................0 -

unless it is not meant to be lined up.
which is the case on quite a few bike. as it can cause a pinch point which can be an issue with carbon parts."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
