Cav is a good short TTer, he won the Prologue at Romandie last year beating Wiggins...

Oi... stop talking about the race - there's another 10 pages to be written on the LA and Valverde doping threads yet!

Cavendish is very handy as a time triallist over a short distance like that used for prologues. As redddragon has already noted, he won the Tour of Romandie prologue last year. He also won the Tour of Britain prologue in 2007.

good on cav !!! lets hope this bodes well for the GC overall, hills notwithstanding.. but there again there's no reason why he can't get something out of this if the team backs him?

Not surprising at all. The TT was basically an overlong sprint.

I thought Cav had lost weight for this season - doesnt seem to have affected his speed - so interesting to see if he can get over the hills.
