Which Reba Fork

I don't know which Reba fork to choose. I have been looking at the Race and Team both the 2009 version, not sure I will really notice the difference with the black box motion control. Also poploc or pushoc or just a good old fashioned lockout on the top of the fork. Is it worth looking at the 2008 versions as well. This is to replace a 2005 Marzocchi MZ Race which is becoming very tired. Bike is recommended to have a 100mm fork, and it it used for xc only, I'am 6'1 and 15.5 stone.

O9 versions get a stiffer structure. The Black Box MC damper is more refined with a high speed circuit too. The dual air system is supposed to be tuned better too.
The difference in the 08 team and SL/race is minimal, just a lighter crown and external floodgate knob.
Given the prices, and if you don't want black box, I'd go for a cheap 08.0 -
i have 08's and can vouch for them being brilliant! rockshox didnt change them between 07/08, testament to how good they were!!
stiff, light and infinately tunable, they;re brilliant!!I said hit the brakes not the tree!!

I don't think the remote lockout switches are worth the extra money and are just more clutter on the handlebars. The big knob on the fork top is more adjustable as well.0

I have '08 reba sl and they are excellent (115mm travel), even better than my revelations in all departments for some reason, even though they are essentially the same fork...
I wouldn't bother with poploc/pushloc, I have had it with all four RS forks I have owned, but after the first set, I have found it would be better without, but all the forks I have bought since for one reason or another have come with the lever even though I didn't want it, but unless I wanted to pay a lot more or have the wrong colour, etc, the std compression knob forks have eluded me!0 -
I have the SL model - so came with Poploc. This was the cheapest I could find (Merlin Cycles). I removed the remote spring within the Motion Control damper, so can now adjust compression without the handlebar mount.
The SL is the cheapest option - this still has more than enough features/adjustability for the average rider.

I have the 08 Teams - came with pop-loc - got them from Merlin for £250 which i thought was a bit of a bargain. Decent light forks. Probably wouldn't pay the extra for pop-loc if i had the choice of with/without but it came with them and i must admit i use it quite a bit. It's handy when your trail turns into road for a mile or so between offroad sections but, like others have said, it's not an essential.0
