North west routes/trails?

Can anyone reccomend some good routes/trails in the north west/peak district area suitable for beginners??

  • or look in another well known mtb magazine. There's very often routes in the NW in there...
  • If the south Peak isn't too far away, the routes linked to in my address are generally not too technical.

    Gisburn Forest in the Trough of Bowland sounds like what you are after
  • Get yourself to the Lakes. Best riding in the UK in my opinion.

    Gisburn Forest is actually in the Forest of Bowland. If that makes any sense...

    The Trough of Bowland is also in the Forest of Bowland and about 8 miles West if Gisburn Forest.

    As stated, get a map out or tag along with someone more experienced and explore, the High Peak is renowned for its riding Ladybower loop aint too technical depending on route choice- plus if need be you can stick to just the reservoir for an easy ride.
