Hi I need to replace the BB on my Cannondale F1000SL (yr 2000) and think that the BB shell is 68mm but not sure on the lenght (110mm ? 113mm ? 118mm?)
I just got an ISIS RaceFace crank in the CRC sale - think it is the Evolve one or nearest to it and was looking at the RaceFace ISIS XC and signature BB's (68/113) but am not sure if they are suitable ?
Any help appreciated !
Thanks
Ed

The axle length depends on the chainset.
Can you measure the old one?0 -
or the chain line on the old set up. then you can see what axle length you need with the new ones to give the same chain line."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks for the replies !
i changed to ISIS about 5 years ago i guess ? At the time I put in a new ISIS BB and then a RaceFace Evolve crank (I think - was about 50 quid from CRC at the time).
Checked my account with CRC but no reference to the BB.
Just wanted to change the rings on the crank recently but found a whole new crank from RaceFace in the sale for the same price as the rings so thought I'd change.
A day later the BB starts creaking and sticking so thought I'd change that too (had good wear out of it).
New crank is RaceFace Ride XC or something - looks the same as the old one ... ish.
Guess that is the answer - to take off the crank and pedal then measure up the BB axle. Was hoping not to do that as I know I will get carried away and want to start replacing bits and then several hours go by....
Is the RaceFace signature BB any good ? Like the idea of changing parts rather than chuck stuff away.
Saw the hollowtech stuff too late and looked at the Hope hollowtech BB - well maybe in a few year's time and the next CRC sale
Thanks

Right got a nice shiny RaceFace BB and after just popping off the cranks I have discovered a world of pain....
All rusted up and corroded - knew I should have changed it sooner Alot of salt around the coast here obviously...
I have managed to get the BB cups in a vice to try and turn them out but no luck. I have managed to strip the non-drive side and am now scared of stripping the drive side.
Is there any way to get the cups out now that the tool won't fit... aggghhhh ! Feeling stupid... widh I'd changed them sooner. Doh.
Kind of have to get it back in one piece today as need it for work tomorrow...
Any hints on how to take out a corroded BB VERY gratefully accepted.
Thanks

Spray with loads of dismantling fluid like Plus Gas. Leave to soak, then back to the vice! Best if you have someone help.0

All cool now - thanks for the hint.
Went to a mates house and just about got them off with a 2 foot monkey wrench.
Best way we worked out is to put a lightly pressured clamp on the tool and the other axel so that the tool maintains an even level - they use the monkey wrench.
Seems like alot of torque to do them up - Race Face documentation with the new BB was 35 pounds/ft I think.
Used some copper grease as had no other - this ok ?
Looks like I won't be on the bus tomorrow but back on the bike
