Can someone please recommend a frame for around £100 that is in stock.

I am thinking of building a second bike to use up my parts spare and need a cheap but Ok frame. Any Ideas? just want a X Country frame not a dirt Jump Frame.

  • I've had a Brand-X frame for about 4/5 years now and never had any problems. Cost me 80 quid for what they describe as a dirt jump frame- whatever, I've done most of the 7 Stanes on it. Check Chainreaction; the Dirt Jump 3 is £80 (4 Stars from the reviewers), and the Cross Country frame is £100 (5 stars).

I've got a 2006 Orange Evo 6 size medium frame in my shed, comes with a 2008 Hope headset and 2008 XT cranks. You can have it for £120 + postage. I'll get some pics if you're interested.
  • what is a medium Orange work out to in inchs? I would be interested in pics if you have them cheers.

  • Just picked up a Dirty Jo semi creme in a 20". Not built up yet but frame doesn't look to bad at all especially in black. Paint is possibly a little thin and in some un seen areas there is some dirt in the paint (eg: small area under the BB). The top tube doesn't have attachments for hydro hoses (only cable) although the stays do! But for £75 (now 80) it looks like a bargain. Nice and light and good service from Wayne too.
