    Do keep up 007
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.
  • um...where's the tests? His hematocrit levels? that's it?

I like they way they post the results without explaining anything, at all. Might as well post his shoe size.

I'm sure all Lance's fans know exactly what: OFF-score Hb z-score OFF z-score mean.

So his tester is an employee of his team. So much for conflict of interest.

There's, what, a 16% fluctuation in haematocrit level - wonder what the allowable variance is for the biological passport?
  • I don't understand any of science behnind the numbers, but given the state cycling has got itself into I wouldn't mind an informed discussion so that I can better understand it. Anyone on here who can pass on the relevant science in such as way that I'll understand it (no science background)?

My HCT was 39 just before Christmas, I'd given blood a week before.

My HCT was 39 just before Christmas, I'd given blood a week before.

I've often wondered why none of the Puerto riders used this as an excuse for bags full of their blood.

Nobody would believe them but they couldn't proof it wasn't true, and they might get away with it.

When you say "Lance's tests posted" I think that should say "some of Lance's tests published"

    Only 7 over 4 months - surely this is a cherry-picked sample.

Not surprising to find them all in the normal range.
The interesting bit of his season (ie the only race he's done) was the end of January and no data for that

Highest haematocrit was a week or so after the end of the TDU

I'd be interested to see how these 7 tests were chosen for public viewing rather than any of the others
  • they also skipped the TDU testing period.
