Did a search, but nothing much came up, so sorry if this has been covered already and I'm just being stupid!
Basically, looking at keeping my new shiny SLX drivetrain in the best shape possible, and am looking for a bash guard to protect my 44T 3rd chainring (I like all my gears! )
The 2 options which I seem to have thrown up at the moment are;
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=3953 - Looks heavy at 350g?!
and
http://www.pinkbike.com/news/mrp-xgc-2008.html - any issues with this attaching to the BB? anyone know where I can get hold of in UK?
Any advice or alternatives welcome,
Cheers!

Tried the 1st one on my xt chainset . Didn't fit cause of a metal bolt potruding on the front big ring . Gave up after that and swapped them for dmr v8sSpecialized Camber

Thanks for that guys - had a look at threads but doesn't really help much more than what I thought. Does any one have any expirience with the MRP guard? http://www.pinkbike.com/news/mrp-xgc-2008.html Or anything else suitable?
