Hi guy's, currently have an upgraded trek 6000 2008 model, looking for a full sus but pretty skint at the moment. I may have the chance to get a brand new haro sonix frame with fox float r shock for under the £200 mark.
I'm looking to do aggressive single-track, few drops etc, wondering how these frames are rated? I have seen the bike radar review but every other review i have read seems to contradict it.

any advice welcome.

Hugh

Not ridden one, but the testing team didn't like it at all. Is a strange design for sure. 200 quid doesn't seem to bad - any chance you can ride a fully built one?

I think the decathlon near me may have one although it will be a different rear shock i seem to remember. Might be worth the trip though.

I've always been a little weary of brands such as haro, mainly because i have always seen them as the brand selling bmx's not mtb's. I would really like a full sus but I'm now considering just upgrading further on the base i have and then maybe purchasing a complete full sus when i come to need a new bike.

Plenty of other options if you want a full susser - maybe not for 200 for the frame though lol.

Haros claims on their pages seem a bit off to me.

How do you mean? Weight and performance wise?

Performance - how it reduces bob. Just an initial thought, would have to look closely at the design and see a diagram of the virtual pivot points - as above, is a quite a unique design.

Proof is in the pudding as always.

    The best way!

Look forward to hear how you get on. Haro say the system is very sag dependant, so I'd ensure that you have set up right.
