Hi, looking for a new bike i have narrowed it down to gt avalanche 3.0 disc 2008 or mongoose tyax elite 2008, i will be using it mainly off road on trails ,landrover tracks ,i am kinda a new to the modern mountain bike as the one i have at the moment is about 10 years old.

Both good bikes - Mongoose having the slightly better fork. Rest is swings and roundabouts, good value components.

See them in the shops, see what feels best and fits best.
