i am looking at bying some new tyres for my specialized that dont wiegh too much and have decent grip for a reasonable price 20-30 quid. does any one have any ideas. i have looked at the maxxis high rollers and the swamp things but they might be a bit too heavy and more for mud

  • High rollers are good and will grip on most things. The XC versions aren't that heavy either. Swampthings are definitly more gloop orientated. I'd go with the High rollers if I were you.

    A useful tool...
  • Upon someone else's advice, I've tried Panaracer Cinders (2.25 front / 2.1 rear) and find them very good.

TBH, I was tempted with Swampies but was told that unless you're willing to change tyres between dry and muddy conditions, the Cinders were a very good 'all-rounder' bet. 8)
