I've been looking around the site and seen a few suspension post reviews and I was wondering are they any good or just a gimic. I am, how can I put it, a tad on the portly side  and was thinking a slight softening of the rear end sounds like it would be quite comfortable on my posterior.
So I throw this open for discussion a good buy or a waste of time.
Cheers Kev.

Do or do not there is no try!

They can work well for some riders. They take the sting out, but iffy build quality means some can fall to bits quickly and rattle and play is an issue.0

Cane Creek's Thudbuster is supposed to be pretty good but it seems an awful lot of money and complication for a seatpost.0

The thudbuster works extremely well, but is expensive. Dont forget though, that you will lose a large amount of seatpost adjustment, I think you need something like a minimum of 3" of seatpost free to fit the LT.0
