I would phone them up and see what is going on. If they cannot give any precise details, ask for a refund.0

sure, if the fork does not arrive within that week i´ll do so
but - what if they refuse any information and just insist that they´ve shipped the fork?
i just want to know whether this is a reliable shop or not0 -
They aren't the best! -Got me Rebas there last year. Took over a week of me consantly badgering them to get it though and the chap was pretty rude on the emails.
Found other threads on bad service from them on here after i placed my order.
You should get the forks, but they don't seem to bust a gut to get them out quick. Keep emailing and be polite [no matter how difficult they are at the other end!].0 -
Mark Anthony bikes sell on E-bay... not had good experience with them!! Took nearly a month to get 2 DMR chainstay protectors through the post. They reckon they had to send them out twice (Sounds like a wheelbarrow full of BS to me!) They did not let me know they had "re-sent" the items. They took ages to reply to anything...
Then when they finally came I gave them neutral feedback. I then recieved an e-mail from them basically telling me to change my feedback as I now had the item and they had "resolved" the issue. I, like many of you rely on feedback as a source of reputation... so I told them to naff off!!
It seems like the guys who run this joke shop really do not care about customer service... Hopefully one of there employees will read this thread (Can monkeys read?) and all the others, and realise how much business they lose through being useless at there job!!0 -
Tell them that you will allow one more week to receive the forks after which you will cancel the order and buy elsewhere. Did you pay by credit card? If yes, they shouldn't take any money until despatch time. If they have charged your card without despatching the forks, ask for a refund and never shop there again. Tell them this and tell us too!
Just a thought - your .de name, does that mean you are in Germany? Deliveries may take longer than normal because of the weather, but 3 weeks is stretching things a bit.0 -
hello @all
thank you very much. i already feared that the shop always behaves like this. today i recieved some very rude mails from them. the problem is that paypal "removed" the money from their account according to markanthony. paypal explained me they only blocked the money.
i really fear that i´ll never see my money again - GBP 559,- :shock:
i hope that paypal will decide that i´m right. otherwise i just can pray that the credit card company does not charge the money after recieving my complaint. markanthony even refused to have e-mail conversation with me... difficult!!
thank´s to everybody!0 -
Not quite sure I follow! Where is the money now? It left your account, but paypal blocked it?0
-
I'm lost too.
You have started a complaint via Paypal that the shop has not delivered the goods and Paypal have frozen the transaction, keeping the money safe until the issue is resolved. Is that correct?0 -
I think this is the same firm that went bankrupt a while back and I lost about £40 on an item they never had in stock. I'm pretty sure this is the case and that they've started up again, obviously with a different registered owner - but I'm betting it's the same people running it!
I wouldn't go near them

@tank-slapper
yep, you´re absolutely right! have you any idea what to do now? well, paypal has the money so why don´t they transfer it back? i´ve even got a mail vom activesport where they state they´ve "recalled" the fork from the parcel service. never heard about something like that...
@stabiliser
you´re scaring me!0 -
It seems then that paypal are waiting to to see wheter the fork arrives.
If active can confirm it won't, paypal owes you the money.
Not sure why activesport have the attitude.0 -
Super is right.
Paypal won't return your money until they are sure that the forks have indeed not been sent by the shop and are not in transit. This might seem unfair to you, but the shop needs to be given a chance as well.
Politely ask the shop to give you the tracking number and despatch date. If they cannot, or will not give you this information, tell them that you wish to cancel the order and inform Payal. Paypal should then give you your money back.
Personally I think you have been a bit hasty in starting a Paypal complaint after just 2 1/2 weeks. A month is more reasonable. However, Activesport should have kept you informed that there was going to be a delay and they didn't, in spite of your requests for information. So, it is probably their fault that this problem has occurred.0 -
Sorry, I don't mean to scare you but as long as paypal have stopped the funds and have the money, everything should be ok.
The product I wanted, they never had in stock and they had already taken my money (not paypal). I asked to cancel the order and get a refund and they kept saying the refund was on it's way. They were rude in their emails to me too, not to mention the lies they told. I never received the refund and heard no more from them (after several attempts). Then I got a letter from their administrators! This was last year some time and that was the end of it.
I have noticed them trading on ebay again and I avoid them like the plague, I don't believe a word they say :evil:http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

@tank slapper
I did already ask them for the parcel service name and a tracking number without any response. And they confirmed that they let "return the fork" to the shop by the parcel serivce....
The delivery time increased mail by mail. Their wording becam rougher and rougher.. I really wonder if they really had the fork in stock. There was a misunderstanding concerning shipping costs and before shipping I told them it was the easiest to cancel my order and transfer the money back but they insisted in delivering it and covering the shipping themselves. yep, I think there´s somethin wrong and the really fooled me0 -
I would leave it another week without contacting the seller.
Then, you need to contact the local Trading Standards office.
Activesport is based in Buxton, Derbyshire - the contact details for the local authority Trading Standards office is HERE (link).
British Trading Standards offices are VERY hot on traders not providing goods and services and will take your complaint very seriously. Don't be afraid of them, they eill be very helpful and hopefully help you to sort this out!!0 -
Sgould be in PayPal's hands now, as holding the money as 3rd party.0
-
It would be best to let Paypal handle it first. Then, after you get your money back and if you really think something illegal has taken place, tell Trading Standards.0

hi everybody,
good news! i applied for buyer protection at paypal (or however it is named in english, i guess you know what i mean) and markanthony transferred the money back!!
comment from his side: "lost at fedex"!
thought he re-directed the package at the parcel service? very strange!
after reviewing the whole story, yes, it seems more than strange and markanthony made so many contradictorily statements that i´m sure now that he really tried to fool me.
i´d like to thank all of you for your support and suggestions, you really helped me going through this situation. if anybody has ever a problem with a german shop, just contact me in this forum, i´ll log in time to time and will support you if necessary
