Viking Challenge Route???

Hoping somebody can help me out. I've been searching the web for a map or a half decent description of the 50k route of the Viking Challenge. I would like to do it this year, but I wouldn't mind riding it in the summer before the actual event. Can anybody help?? A good description would be brilliant, a map would be even better.

    It's not the full route, but the Belvoir Loop is on mountainbikerides.co.uk - most of this is on trails used by the VC - as I remember in the VC (which I only did back in 2003) there's a loop out around an airfield and the VC starts & finishes in Redmile.

    Personally I'd wait until things are alot drier before trying any of these trails though - I did the Belvoir Loop in August and even then there were some soggy bits through the woods near Belvoir Castle.

    Thanks for the replies. Yes I am talking about the Belvoir event. I think it is in October. I know this years event saw lots of BB high water and plenty of mud. I was thinking of riding some of the trails in the summer, July / August time when it is a lot lot drier.

    EDIT: With the help of a good old OS map and Google Earth I think I've got most of it sussed. I shall certainly head out and ride the Viking Way section and as many other bits of trail as I can!

    Hello, i did the Viking challenge last year and if i remember correctly it is only available to ride as a whole route on the day itself as some of the route is only open for that day and that event by special arrangement.
